Drivers in Blair County can expect short delays starting Sunday, May 4, as a bridge rehabilitation project gets underway along Convention Center Boulevard. Construction crews will begin work on the bridge carrying Convention Center Boulevard over Brush Run in Allegheny Township. The project will reduce traffic to one lane in each direction for the duration of the work. PennDOT is warning motorists to anticipate delays of approximately three to five minutes. The $134,126.72 contract was awarded to RAM Construction Services of Michigan Inc. Work includes bridge deck repairs, an epoxy overlay treatment, and new pavement markings. The rehabilitation project is scheduled to be completed by July. PennDOT is urging all drivers to slow down, stay alert, and watch for signage and flaggers when approaching the work zone.
