Blair County Announces Safe Disposal Event for Household Hazardous Waste |
Residents can responsibly discard chemicals and materials at a one-day collection in July |
Blair County residents will have an opportunity to safely dispose of household hazardous materials during a special collection event scheduled for Saturday, July 18. The 2026 Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event will take place from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Jaffa Shrine. The event is designed to help residents properly handle and discard potentially harmful substances that should not be thrown away with regular trash. A base fee of $25 per vehicle will be charged, along with an additional cost of $0.50 per pound for paint. Payment must be made at the event using cash or check.
