WISE Women of Blair County Awards $17,000 in Spring 2026 Scholarships

WISE Women of Blair County proudly announces the recipients of its Spring 2026 scholarship program. These scholarships are awarded to Blair County women age 21 and older who have demonstrated resilience in overcoming adversity or discrimination while pursuing post-secondary education.

This year, a total of $17,000 in scholarships was awarded to seven outstanding recipients:

Alainy Liang, a student at Altoona Beauty School, received the M & T Scholarship.
Libby Keller, studying Chinese and Spanish Language and Culture with minors in Education, Anthropology, Linguistics, and Literature at Bennington College, received a WISE Scholarship.
April Ruehle, a Psychology student at Penn State World Campus, received both a WISE Scholarship and the Donna D. Gority Scholarship.
Erin Harlow, pursuing a dual degree in Art and English at Penn State Altoona, received a WISE Scholarship.
Abigail Dean, an Environmental Studies student at Penn State Altoona, received the Donna D. Gority Scholarship.
Ivy Powles, studying Nursing at Penn State Altoona, received both WISE and Santella Scholarships.
Lydia Seltzer, an Environmental Science major with a minor in Communications at Juniata College, received a WISE Scholarship.

These scholarships are administered through the Central Pennsylvania Community Foundation.

The next application period for Fall 2026 scholarships will close on September 25, 2026, at 4:00 PM.
