The Altoona Curve will transform Peoples Natural Gas Field into an arena of fast-paced fun on July 3 with the arrival of the Great American Pillow Fight, part of the America250PA Blair County festivities. The event promises a unique mix of live entertainment, athletic competition, and patriotic celebration. Headlining the evening is the Pillow Fight Championship (PFC), the world’s first professional pillow fighting league. Known for its dynamic format, PFC showcases trained competitors using specialized combat pillows in a rules-driven contest designed for action and strategy. The result is a lively, crowd-pleasing experience suitable for all ages. Curve General Manager Nate Bowen emphasized the team’s commitment to creative programming, noting the event offers a fresh way to engage the community while honoring America’s 250th anniversary. Gates open at 6:00 p.m., with the main event scheduled later in the evening. The night concludes with the Curve’s largest Independence Day fireworks display of the season.
