WISE Women of Blair County Announces Fall 2025 Scholarship Recipients |
Empowering Local Women Through Education and Resilience |
WISE Women of Blair County proudly announces the recipients of its Fall 2025 scholarships, honoring five remarkable women who have demonstrated resilience and commitment to their educational pursuits.
These scholarships are awarded to female residents of Blair County, aged 21 and older, who have overcome significant adversity or discrimination and are pursuing post-secondary education.
A total of $11,000 has been distributed among the following recipients:
Leah Hostler, pursuing a bachelor's degree in secondary education with a minor in history at Penn State University – University Park.
Madison Peck, enrolled in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at Penn State Altoona.
April Ruehle, studying for a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Penn State World Campus. Notably, Ruehle received both a WISE Scholarship and the Donna D. Gority Scholarship.
Erin Harlow, working towards a Bachelor of Arts in Art and English at Penn State Altoona.
Joclynn Ramsey, pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in music at Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania – Bloomsburg.
These scholarships are administered through the Central Pennsylvania Community Foundation.
The next application period for Spring 2026 scholarships is now open, with a submission deadline of 4 p.m. on March 27, 2026.
Interested applicants can obtain application packets by visiting the WISE Women of Blair County website or by emailing the organization directly.
