History was made in Cuyahoga Falls as wrestling phenom Bo Bassett captured his fourth Ironman title at Walsh Jesuit High School, a feat only two others have ever accomplished.
The path for the Bishop McCort senior was anything but easy.
In a tense final, Bassett found himself trailing two-time champion Joe Bachmann after an early takedown.
But the deficit seemed to ignite the Virginia Tech commit, who mounted a furious rally.
A crucial takedown shifted the momentum, and Bassett dominated from there, securing a 14-6 major decision.
The victory places him in an elite club alongside legends David Taylor and Zahid Valencia as the only four-time champions of the nation's toughest tournament.
For Northeast Ohio fans, it was an unforgettable chance to witness wrestling history unfold locally. Read More... |

With seamless connections to American Airlines, United Airlines, and Alaska Airlines at Charlotte, AOO passengers gained convenient options for both domestic and international flights.
Airport Manager Tracy Plessinger celebrated the community’s enthusiastic embrace, crediting Contour’s affordable fares, free parking, and quick security checks for the airport’s renewed popularity.

Blair County commissioners are actively advancing plans for a new prison, having identified a promising property for the facility.
Commissioners confirmed progress toward acquiring the site, though details remain confidential until the deal is finalized to respect privacy and negotiations.
The property’s corporate owner is open to selling, but internal board approvals have led to delays, according to Commissioner Amy Webster.
Despite sending a letter of intent months ago, the county is still awaiting formal confirmation from the corporation to move forward.
Gaining access for vital environmental impact studies has also faced setbacks, as permission from the owner remains pending.
Potential environmental concerns could reset the project, yet state programs and Senator Judy Ward have offered assistance if remediation is needed.
Residents closely watch as the search for a suitable prison site continues. Read More... |

Chop Suey: This girl is a 1 year old Pitbull Mix. She is a high energy dog! Chop can't live with cats. She is very dog selective. She has a dominant personality and it would take the right dog for it to work out. We will try potential dog on dog visits, but she would likely do best as the only pet. She can live with kids as long as they love an energetic dog that might run full speed into them!
** Chop Suey is in our care in Altoona PA. She is available for adoption. Each animal gets microchipped, 4DX tested, spayed/ neutered and vaccinated. The adoption fee covers those costs. Adoption fees are listed on the application. An application must be filled out in order to visit with any dog or cat. They can be found on our website www.centralpahumane.org under the Adopt A Pet tab or at the shelter. Our animals are posted on Facebook and Petfinder when time permits. A Petfinder inquiry is not an application, and they may not be responded to. We can only accept so many applications for each animal. We do adopt out of state, but we cannot hold the animal. ** PA Kennel License #1333 |
